Violinist Jennifer Koh and bass-baritone Davóne Tines are both virtuosic classical performers, celebrated around the world. Both are artists of color who have to put on a front in order to succeed in white institutions, arming themselves with scrupulous professionalism and counter-stereotypes.Together, they set out on an inward journey of rediscovery. Developed over multiple years by an all-BIPOC creative team, this powerful staged musical work centers the need for artists of color to be seen and heard.
